Salzburg will be facing their toughest challenge yet as they have to travel to Gremany to tackle heavyweights Borussia Dortmund for the place in the quarterfinal of the competition.
Borusia Dortmond seems to have found the right formula again as their performance has immensely improved recently. They are no doubts one of the main contenders for the title at this stage. They eliminated Italian side Atalanta in the previous round by scoring 4 goals over the two legs. Dortmund generally play much better under Peter Stoger who has managed to turn a corner for them and help the team break back into the top four in the domestic campaign.
Salzburg have been excellent so far in the competition, but they are now up against a super talented attacking lineup of Borussia’s and it’s very hard to think they will leave Signal-Iduna-Park undefeated.
- Dortmund have scored at least two goals in 3 of their last 4 home games.
The gulf in quality should be notable, and considering the attacking strength of the Germans backing them to score twice looks like buying money here.
