ANALYSIS AND MATCH PREVIEW
West Ham have found themselves in a much tougher position as thing stands and new boss David Moyes must have realizes how massive the challenge ahead of him is when his new team dropped the ball to Watford last weekend at Vicarage Road Stadium.
To make things worse for the hosts, they are in for a rough schedule after the Leicester City clash and avoiding the red zone before Christmas will indeed require a serious turnaround in form. At the moment, the main task for Moyes is to try and fix the holes at the back given that the Hammers have leaked in the league’s worst 25 goals in 12 matches, including ten in five home outings so far
They have allowed at least two goals in their last four games as they lost 2-0 at Watford (8th), lost 4-1 at home to Liverpool (5th), drew 2-2 at Crystal Palace (20th) and lost 3-0 at home to Brighton (9th). Not only have they allowed at least three goals in the two home games mentioned with Liverpool and Brighton, but also in previous home games, they have lost 3-2 to Tottenham (2nd) so they do give up goals.
Leicester city, the shocking 2015/16 champions have climbed up to 12th in the league standings and prior to Saturday’s home loss to runaway leaders Manchester City they have been undefeated since September which is a streak worth all respect.
They have managed to score in seven of their last ten games. On the road, in their six games on the road, they have scored in four of them but conceded in five of them, as they drew 2-2 at Stoke (15th) and won 2-1 at Swansea (19th) in their two most recent away games.
PREDICTION
With both sides capable of scoring, and neither side looking like they can hold the other out, then both teams are likely to score here. But I strongly believe Leicester city will outscore their host when it comes to that. Therefore Leicester city win or draw and over 1.5 goals is the safest pick and the way to go here.
