United started their Premier League season great, having recorded three wins in the first three three outings with a goal difference 10:0. However, on Saturday they took only a point in Stoke. But they still remain one of the main candidates for the title and are entering this game as clear favourites. Ibrahimovic, Rojo, Shaw and Young remain sidelined, while Fellaini is doubtful. Basel haven`t started domestic season in their usual manner and after seven games they are third in the league. They were beaten by Young Boys in the opening game, while they failed to win in the last three matches. They played 1:1 with Lugano at home and with Sion away, while last time out they lost to Lausanne at home. Basel will be without Fransson, Oberlin and Vailati, who are all injured.
Basel who are surely below their usual standard will not feel confident making a trip to Old Trafford and we can be confident Maurinho will take this game very seriously. Therefore, I see nothing but a convincing win for the hosts here and two-goal difference is the minimum they should reach.
