Watford will be looking to continue their impressive start to the new season when they welcome Manchester city to town this afternoon.
They started their new Epl campaign with a 3-3 thrilling draw against Liverpool at home, an early signs that Marco Silva has no intention to sit back and defend against stronger teams in the league. Manchester City witnessed a slow start to the season. Then, they almost got out of jail in the 2-1 win against Bournemouth, aided by a deep injury time goal from Sterling.
Things have changed for the Citizens since the international break. It was expected to be an evenly poised contest when Liverpool arrived at Etihad last week. But the men in sky blue has other plans and humiliated their title rivals by putting 5 goals in their net without reply. The fine form continued over the midweek when they opened their account in Champions League with a thumping 4-0 win away at Feyenoord.
Watford are in fine form and are coming on the back of a four match unbeaten run with three clean sheets on the bounce. But, Manchester City provides them a different proportion.
The Citizens seem to have find the fluidity under Pep Guardiola are are scoring goals at will. Moreover, they blew Watford away in both Premier League fixtures last season. Similar outcome is expected this afternoon.
