Spain Segunda Division

Cordoba vs Sporting Gijon

Pick: Cordoba win

Odd: 1.65

ANALYSIS AND MATCH PREVIEW

Having won each of their last three, Cordoba are now sitting outside of the drop-zone, though they’re not safe yet. With the way things are, anything other than a win here could result in the Andalusian club being relegated. They’ve found really good form when it was needed the most as the side got their third consecutive victory last Sunday afternoon winning over Reus Deportiu in front of opponents fans with a narrow 1:2 result.

The team now stands at sixteenth position at the table with just a point more than relegating worried Almeria and in order not to watch out for other results, needs to seek for a three pointer here.

Sporting Gijon finally got a victory after three consecutive defeats in LaLiga2, as they overpowered Granada with a narrow 2:1 result. They might benefit from taking just bit more relaxed approach here considering the importance of their upcoming games.

Looking at the form of both teams, we could say that Cordoba might be a slight favorite even without the competitive motive. Players of Cordoba looked really well in last couple of weeks and should be able to find salvation in this match without looking at other results. Gijon has a very good squad overall, but this clash isn’t of their top priority with much more important matches yet to be played in next days. Cordoba win looks like a very nice pick here.
