England EFL Cup
Manchester City vs Bristol City
Pick: Manchester City over 2.5 team goals
ANALYSIS AND MATCH PREVIEW
Bristol City booked their place in the last four of the EFL Cup thanks to a sensational performance against Manchester United. But they will have one hell of a task to go all the way as they are to play the red-hot Manchester City side for the place in the final.
Manchester City have been impeccable so far in the Premier League where they are 15 points adrift of the second placed United. Pep Guardiola has lined up a pretty respectable side for the FA Cup clash with fellow Premier League opposition Burnley. The Citizens did have certain troubles as they went on the break with a goal deficit.
Nonetheless, Sergio Aguero bagged a brace to turn things around in the second half before Leroy Sane and Bernardo Silva got their names on the scoresheet to make it a comprehensive win at the end for Pep Guardiola’s machinery.
Bristol City were also in action on Saturday when they travelled to Vicarage Road to play Watford. Watford claimed a demolishing 3-0 win to make it three losses in a row for Bristol city.
The Citizens are obviously massive favourites both on the night and over two semifinal legs and would not be surprised to see them finishing the job in the first game in front of the home fans.
Also, Bristol’s defensive line has been super vulnerable as of late as they’ve allowed eight goals in last two matches on the road.
Man City have scored at least three goals in each of last four home matches in all competitions. Therefore Man City Over 2.5 team Goals has to be a banker bet here.
