Portugal Primeira Liga

Feirense vs Moreirense

Pick: Moreirense or Draw

Odd: 1.50

ANALYSIS AND MATCH PREVIEW

Feirense host the bottom half neighbours Moreirense in the clash which might be called a relegation six-pointer. There are only two points dividing the two likes who are very close to the drop zone halfway through the season.

Both sides have been struggling badly to find goals throughout the entire campaign and they are among the teams with the worst attacking record in the competition after 18 rounds. Both teams score less than a goal per game on average.

Moreirense had the opportunity to escape the relegation scrap last weekend when they hosted the fellow strugglers Vitoria Setubal. Nonetheless, the team led by Sergio Vieira allowed two early goals and they’ve only managed to save a point with a last-gasp equalizer through Andre Micael.

Moreirense have been much more successful in the most recent H2H tradition as they’ve won four and drawn three of last seven ties with Feirense. This includes the recent 2-1 win in mid-November in Taca da Liga clash.

All in all, despite both teams struggling to find form I still believe the visitors has the edge. The side from Moreira de Conegos have only lost twice in their last six games in all competition, and this defeat came against two biggest clubs in the league( Porto and Benfica).

We should expect a very tight game this evening with possibility of draw, but if a winner will emerge, it will most likely be the visitors. So, I’m picking Moreieense not to lose as the banker of the day.
