England League two

Chesterfield VA Luton

Pick: Luton to win

Odd: 1.65

ANALYSIS AND MATCH PREVIEW

Luton Town will be looking to get back to winning ways after they endured a difficult week. They were knocked out of the FA Cup third round by Premier League giants Newcastle United and, on Tuesday, they suffered the same fate in the Football League Trophy when they were knocked out on penalties by Peterborough United. The league leaders will now focus on the League two and a trip to Chesterfield represent a perfect chance to forget the past week.

Chesterfield are in a very bad situation right now. They sit second from bottom and it is quickly becoming apparent that their place in the Football League this season is under threat. They come into this game having failed to record a win in their last 6 matches. Surely a duel with the league leaders will be the last thing they’d want right now.

Luton Town have been winning by scoring lots of goals. One man who will no doubt be in the thick of the action this afternoon is star striker Danny Hylton. The 28-years-old got the Hatters only goal of the game against Newcastle last week and, although he was rested midweek, he should return back to the starting line up this weekend. He has15 goals already to his name this season, and six of them coming in his previous nine outings.

All in all, I’m going for a Luton win as today’s banker. And considering Luton games have not been short of goals this season, more adventurous Punters can for Luton win and over 2.5 goals.
