England Premier League
Leicester city vs Tottenham Hotspurs
Pick: Tottenham win
ANALYSIS AND MATCH PREVIEW
Leicester city had an early advantage away at Hammers on Friday evening, but they could not hold on to it as Moyes’ West Ham United fought it out to a 1-1 draw at the end.
It was the third consecutive Premier League fixture without a win for Claude Puel who’ll have a very challenging task ending it against one of the top four favourites.
The main problem for the hosts in the lack of meticulousness at the back which is why we can hardly see them keeping their net untouched against the deadly lineup of attackers Tottenham have.
Aside for decent performances in the elite competition, Tottenham have indeed been struggling a lot over the last couple of weeks.
They’ve lost back-to-back Premier League fixtures to Manchester United and Arsenal on the road and they’ll head into this after playing only a 1-1 draw to the Baggies at home.
The good news for the Argentine manager is Kane’s form as the Spurs’ star man has taken his league tally to nine goals netting a late equalizer on Saturday. He was also on target in mid-week’s win away at Borussia Dortmund and he should well be able to continue the good run of form against the vulnerable defensive line of Leicester’s.
Tottenham’s fans will likely remember their team’s previous visit to King Power as it saw the Spurs net as many as six in the thumping of the Foxes.
Harry Kane was particularly inspired bagging four goals. Tottenham generally lead the head to head tie by eight wins and they’ve won two and drawn one of last three meetings with Leicester City.
In spite of a slower shape the visitors have shown lately, we still see them as massive favourites to clinch the spoils at King Power.
The hosts have allowed five goals in last three matches against the likes of Stoke City, Manchester City and West Ham United and i believe Tottenham should be able add to that today.
