Postponed matches This Week(PP)
Match No.16 = POSTPONED – International call-ups mean Blackpool’s League One game against Blackburn Rovers has had to be rescheduled. Seasiders’ boss Gary Bowyer had been set to face his former club a week on Saturday, October 7, at Bloomfield Road.
However, international call – ups to three of Rovers’ players – Corry Evans, Charlie Mulgrew and Jayson Leutwiler – means the game has been postponed.
It will now take place on Tuesday, November 28 (8.45pm) unless both sides are knocked out of the Emirates FA Cup at the first round stage.
Match No.17 = POSTPONED – Charlton’s fixture against Peterborough United on Saturday, October 7th has been postponed due to international call-ups.
Josh Magennis was selected for the Northern Ireland’s World Cup qualifiers in October, while Jay Dasilva and Ezri Konsa will be with England’s Under-20s.
If a club has three or more players called up for international duty, then they can have a league game postponed.
Match No.22 = POSTPONED – Due to international call – ups within the Oldham Athletic Squad, the forthcoming game at Sportsdirect Park on Saturday 7th October has been postponed.
Latics will be without goalkeepers Johny Placide and Jack Ruddy, defender Cameron Dummigan, winger Gevaro Nepomuceno and midfielder Jack Byrne is on standby for the Republic of Ireland squad.
A new date has yet to be scheduled but an announcement will be made in due course.
NOTE: Matches which were postponed would often have their results adjudicated, for the sake of the football pools results, by a board known as the Pools Panel
