UEFA Champions League

Shaktar Donestk vs Feyenoord

Pick: Shakhtar Donetsk win and over 1.5 goals

Odd: 1.50

ANALYSIS AND MATCH PREVIEW

Shakhtar Donetsk will be looking to make 2 wins 6 points in 2 leg over Feyenoord on Wedneday night. A win for Paulo Fonseca’s men will ensure they remain in second position over one of the group favourites Napoli.

Shakhtar have six points thanks to their surprise and impressive 2-1 win against Napoli and another 2-1 triumph at Feyenoord.

The team have been enjoying a fine spell of form in the domestic competition as well where the Miners have a seven-point cushion ahead of their arch-rivals Dynamo Kyiv after 14 rounds of the competition.

The story is completely opposite with Feyenoord who are struggling badly in both Eredivisie and Champions League. In fareness Giovanni van Bronckhorst has had to contend with some injuries to some of his first team players. But even if they have a fully fit squad its not likely they can pick up their first point here.

The visitors will come into this after a run of three losses, two draws and a win in last six Eredivisie outings and three losses in three Champions League matches. They’ve been way too easy to break down lately and i can’t see them stopping the impressive attacking line of Shakhtar’s from netting at least twice which should be enough to secure the 3 points.
