England EFL Cup

Swansea vs Manchester United

Pick: Manchester United win

Odd: 1.52

ANALYSIS AND MATCH PREVIEW

United’s unbeaten start to the Premier League campaign came to an end at the hands of an unlikely candidate called Huddersfield(2-1) on the weekend. Their bright start to the season last for 8 matches which saw 6 wins and 2 draws. The defeat put them at a 5 point gap with league leaders and arch rivals Manchester City.

On the other hand, Swansea are struggling for consistency and so far managed just 2 wins and 2 draws from their 9 matches and were beaten in 5. Their home form is particularly poor after accumulating 1 win and 4 losses from 5 games so far.

Their latest outing is a forgettable 2-1 defeat at home against a manager-less Leicester City which exposed the flaws at the defense. The Swans could have crumbled to a humiliating defeat if not for Lukasz Fabianski’s brilliant short stopping abilities.

Swansea defeated MK Dons and Reading in the previous two rounds of the League Cup, both away from home. While United’s lone game in the season saw them bagging an easy 4-1 win at Old Trafford against Championship side Burton Albion.

The likes of Anthony Martial, Marcus Rashford, Juan Mata and Jesse Lingaard are expected to start here. And on paper, this do look pretty strong.

Swansea have struggled to find the momentum going at home this season. They are expect to give little trouble to the visitors, who have a good record in previous outings at the Liberty Stadium.

I’m confidently backing the Red devil to come out victorious here.
