UEFA Champions League

Borussia Dortmund vs Real Madrid

Pick: GG and over 2.5 goals

Odd: 1.57

ANALYSIS AND MATCH PREVIEW

Dortmund are coming to this clash after scoring 14 goals in their previous 3 games. In 8 competitive matches they played this season they scored at least once in 7 of them. Only against Freiburg they played 0-0 but in that game they had 27 shot at goal.

Real Madrid isn’t on top of their game right now, they are playing OK but there is definitely room for improvement. They were unlucky as well in some situations. Real has played 10 competitive match this season. They have conceded in 8 out of those 10 games. They saved their net only against APOEL 3-0 and Barcelona in Spanish Super Cup 2-0 but that one was in now far 16th July. They have scored in 9 out of 10 of those games. Only one that survived was Betis (0-1), but Real in that game had 27 shots at goal.

Real has a bad history when playing away in Dortmund, since 2012 they played 4 times there. Dortmund won 3 times and once it was a draw. 2-2 (2016), 2-0 (2014), 4-1 (2013), 2-1 (2012). Before these games last time they met was in 2003. Although Real didn’t win they always managed to score at least. In that 2-0 game, Di Maria missed a penalty in 17th minute.

It’s safe to say both teams deserved to score in all of their games so far. Real Madrid conceded goals from far far weaker teams than Dortmund, while Dortmund itself didn’t really face any tough opposition so far apart from Tottenham against whom they conceded 3 goals.

Expecting here their attacks to shine again, but their defenses not so much. GG & over 2.5 is the way to go here.
