International World Cup Qualifiers AFC

Iran vs Uzbekistan

Pick: Iran win

Odd: 1.55

ANALYSIS AND MATCH PREVIEW

There are only three rounds left to be played in Asian World Cup 2018 qualifiers and it seems like the situation in Group A is pretty much simple when it comes to the first spot.

Iran sit on top of group A with 17 points in 7 games played so far. They have won five out of the seven duels, drawing the other two. They are yet to concede a single goal in these rounds. Potential victory against Uzbekistan on Monday night would mean their fans can start celebrating the ticket for Russia.

They score score few goals and almost never concedes. Few days ago, Iran beat Montenegro 2-1, in a friendly game in Podgorica. It’s impressive that they have just one loss in their last 23 games, and that was in a friendly game at home, to Iraq, back in March.

Uzbekistan sit at 3rd place, just a point behind second place South Korea. The Koreans inconsistency has given them the believe they can make the direct qualification to Russia. Especially since the two sides will be playing each other in the final game.

Uzbekistan are in this position no thanks to their away form, they’ve only managed to win one and lossing the other two on the road.

Knowing the strength off the opposition, the visitors are likely to go full defensive here but since the home team always find a way to score the odds goals, seems another 1-0 scoreline is on the cards here

GOOD LUCK!
